Job Overview
We are seeking a Technical Trainer to join Linx Printing Technologies, a leading global provider of coding and marking solutions for food, medicine, and essential products. The role reports to the Technical Training Manager and is based in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire, with up to 30% travel (including 2‑3 long‑haul trips and regular UK/European visits).

Responsibilities
* Deliver technical training (face‑to‑face and online) on Linx product installation, fault‑finding, and maintenance.
* Create and update training materials, including presentations and digital content for new product launches (e.g., inkjet, laser, impulse jet systems).
* Support the Technical Support team with complex technical inquiries from distributors.
* Maintain accurate training records and issue certificates for completed courses.
* Collaborate on engineering projects to develop training for new products.
* Measure success through distributor feedback and the number of training sessions delivered annually.
Qualifications
* Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time and to work from the St. Ives office.
* Electrical and/or mechanical engineering background with a relevant degree, HND/HNC, or equivalent.
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a technical trainer.
* Highly customer‑focused with strong attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Knowledge of the coding & marking industry and digital content creation skills are useful but not critical.
Location & Travel
St. Ives, Cambridgeshire, UK. Up to 30% travel required, including 2‑3 long‑haul trips each year and regular short‑haul visits within the UK and Europe.
