We are currently looking for a Conveyancing Assistant to join our busy and friendly Residential Property team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a modern and growing firm.
The Role:
You will support our busy residential conveyancing department, assisting with a caseload of property transactions from instruction through to completion. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for property law and an interest in building a legal career. Your duties will include:
* Assisting fee earners with managing residential conveyancing transactions.
* Opening and closing files, updating case management systems.
* Drafting documents and correspondence.
* Communicating with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage lenders.
* Handling post-completion tasks, including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications.
* Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
About You:
We are looking for someone who has:
* Experience in a conveyancing or legal support role is desirable.
* Strong administrative and organisational skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to manage your time effectively and prioritise tasks.
* Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with conveyancing software (e.g., LEAP, Proclaim) is a plus.
* A strong communicator with excellent client service skills.
* Capable of working independently and within a team.
* Comfortable using their initiative and identifying areas for improvement.
