Role: Health & Safety/ CDM Consultant
Location: Medway, Kent Projects across London and Southern Home Counties
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + benefits package

WRG is supporting an independent and vibrant Health & Safety Consultancy based in Medway, Kent. Working on a wide variety of projects from residential developments, office refurbishments, listed buildings and museums. They deliver duty holder services under the CDM Regulations such as Principal Designer, Advisor to the Principal Designer and Client Advisor. In addition, they also have a thriving section delivering H&S Advisor services to contractors and designers alike.
Due to continued increase in secured workload, they are looking to expand the team with a Health and Safety Consultant who is as passionate in client serviced delivery as they are. Responsibilities:
Providing Pro-active Health & Safety Support Services to a wide portfolio of clients.
Providing Principal Designer Services under CDM2015 on smaller projects.
Production of pre-construction information, files and other associated CDM documents.
Ensuring Designer compliance.
Reviewing contractors documentation.
Liaising with clients and design teams on project basis.
Conducting site H&S inspections/audits.
Advise clients on procurement options and consultant appointment issues.
Pro-active in business development of the Services
Keep updated with current legal developments in respect of construction and associated law.
Requirements:
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
A member of APS, IOSH and/or CIOB or working towards.
Good IT skills and working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the component parts of CDM 2015 and other Health & Safety issues.
Working knowledge of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
H+S Training capability may be an advantage.
Strong Communication skills - experience of communicating with people at differing levels effectively through oral and written communication.
Client facing skills - experience of working with clients at a strategic/operational level and managing the relationships effectively.
Strong Planning and Organising skills - able to prioritise workload and deadlines and manage change effectively.
Effective problem resolution skills - solution orientated with the ability to manage problems and complaints assertively.
Teamwork skills - ability to work with others to achieve team and personal targets or objectives.
