Quality Assurance Technician (Drinks Production)

Our client is a growing drinks manufacturing business specialising in bottling and canning solutions for a range of customers, with products supplied into major UK retailers.

Engaged on an exclusive basis, we are looking to appoint a Quality Assurance Technician to support the development of site quality systems, with a key focus on gaining BRCGS accreditation.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the implementation and development of BRCGS standards across the site
* Work closely with operational teams to ensure processes are correctly implemented, followed, and continuously improved
* Monitor adherence to process flows and production procedures
* Carry out quality checks on incoming materials and finished products
* Support the development, amendment, and maintenance of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
* Assist in developing and maintaining the company Quality Manual and supporting documentation
* Conduct GMP and hygiene checks throughout the production facility
* Investigate customer complaints and support corrective and preventative actions where required
* Assist with internal audits and preparation for external BRCGS audits
* Promote best practice, food safety, and quality standards across the business
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience within a food or drinks manufacturing environment in a Quality Assurance / Quality Technician role
* Experience working towards or maintaining BRCGS accreditation standards is essential
* Strong understanding of food safety, GMP, HACCP, and quality systems
* Degree qualified (BSc or equivalent) in Food Science, Food Production, or a related discipline
* Strong attention to detail with a proactive and hands‑on approach
* Able to work effectively within a growing, fast‑paced manufacturing environment
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Positive attitude with pride in delivering high standards and continuous improvement
