Temporary Teaching Assistant (Level 1)
Hours – 15 hours per week – Term Time Only
Salary - Grade 3 - £25,185 x 35.61%
Start Date: 05 January 2026, for one term
Abernant Primary is a happy and successful school with a strong caring and inclusive ethos situated in the community of Abernant. We currently have 98 pupils on roll. The school has strong links with the community and a supportive, pro-active governing body.
We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who:
1. Demonstrates excellent classroom practice
2. Has a flexible approach and ability to work as part of a team
3. Is willing to participate fully in all aspects of school life
4. Has the ability to think on their feet and use their initiative
5. Is motivated, passionate and reflective about their work
6. Has a commitment to professional development and the skills to engage positively with all stakeholders
The advertised post will be to work alongside class teachers and the applicant must be willing to work in any of the classes across the school (Nursery to year 6). We can offer you a happy and supportive working environment and you will have the opportunity to teach children through an exciting and progressive curriculum.
