Examination and Assessment Manager Ref : 2526/176 Hours : 37 hours per week Salary : £44,918 per annum. Plus generous benefits, including: • 50 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays and efficiency closures) • Generous Occupational Pension Scheme About the role We are seeking a Learning Support Examination and Assessment Mangager to play a pivotal role in ensuring that students with additional learning needs receive the appropriate support during examinations and assessments. This position is responsible for the planning, organisation, and delivery of internal and external examination access arrangements, as well as ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with teaching staff, support teams, and external bodies to guarantee that every student has equitable access to assessments in line with statutory guidelines. Key responsibilities include: • Managing and coordinating all aspects of access arrangements for examinations. • Ensuring compliance with JCQ regulations and other relevant policies. • Liaising with staff, parents, and external agencies to facilitate smooth assessment processes. • Maintaining accurate records and documentation to support audit and inspection requirements. • Driving continuous improvement in processes to enhance student experience and operational efficiency. About the person We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive professional who is passionate about supporting learners and ensuring fairness in assessment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate: • Proven experience in coordinating or managing examination access arrangements. • In-depth knowledge of JCQ regulations and best practices related to examinations and assessments. • Relevant teaching experience of supporting learners with additional needs • A Level 7 qualification in assessment and access arrangements (or equivalent). • A problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions. • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and compliance. • Outstanding organisational and time-management skills, capable of prioritising multiple tasks and meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with colleagues, students, and external stakeholders. Candidates may offer skills and experiences suitable for a proportion of role or the total 37 hours per week.
