We are looking to recruit a Costume Store Assistant to support the Wardrobe Department in the provision of costumes, costume props, costume accessories, footwear, and wigs for student productions, and all cohort student assessments. You will support students with the hiring of costumes whilst they work either within the department or on costume-related projects, demonstrating good customer care and sensitivity to individual student needs. You may also be required to assist in the costume workroom during busy periods.
The ideal candidate will have a good organisation and an understanding of basic alterations, sewing skills, laundering and maintenance of costumes. Ability to work as part of a team and deal effectively with a range of people at all levels in the organisation is essential. The ideal candidate will have confidence working with PCs to maintain records, inventory, and reports required by the Wardrobe Manager and in accordance with LIPA’s Financial Regulations.
