The Role
As a Project Controls Manager within the central project controls team, you will play a vital role in delivering complex, high‑impact programmes within the nuclear sector. You will influence how project controls systems are implemented and optimised across major programmes, enabling smarter decision‑making and improved performance.
You will act as a subject‑matter expert, leading the management of enterprise project controls systems, driving data accuracy, automation and insight across the business. Your work will directly support critical national infrastructure and give you exposure to a wide network of project professionals, strengthening both your technical expertise and leadership capability.
Day‑to‑day, your responsibilities include:
* Driving the continuous improvement of enterprise project controls systems across programmes
* Leading on the production and use of automated reports and dashboards to enable data‑driven decision‑making
* Managing systems and ensuring the accuracy, integrity and governance of project data
* Acting as a subject‑matter expert, troubleshooting issues and advising on best practice
* Collaborating with project managers, project controllers and the Babcock global project controls teams to deliver integrated solutions
This is a full‑time role working 37 hours per week based in Warrington, Cheshire with hybrid working patterns available.
Essential Experience
* Strong experience in project controls, cost engineering or project planning
* Proficiency with industry‑standard tools such as Primavera P6, SAP, Risk Hive or Deltek Cobra
* Experience managing and maintaining complex data systems within a project environment
* Ability to influence stakeholders and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
* Track record of delivering outcomes in a fast‑paced, programme‑driven environment
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, project management or a related discipline
* Professional accreditation (e.g. APM or equivalent) is desirable
Security Clearance
