Overview
We are seeking an experienced neonatal nurse with substantive experience at a band 6 and above and experience of facilitating and teaching in neonatal care to undertake the role of Practice Development Nurse. This highly challenging and rewarding role is within our fast‑paced service.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a role model demonstrating excellent standard of professional practice, ensuring these standards are adopted service‑wide.
* Lead and facilitate the delivery of an effective and dynamic education programme, from the neonatal education strategy to the nursing team, students entering the service and junior staff needing induction and support.
* Support the Senior Nurse as principal adviser on pre‑ and post‑education, training, and practice development for neonatal staff.
* Provide teaching and presentation skills in classroom, virtual and clinical settings.
* Work collaboratively with the management team, demonstrating robust organisational skills and a drive for excellence.
Qualifications and Experience
* Band 6 or above neonatal nursing experience.
* Substantial experience facilitating and teaching in neonatal care.
* Strong leadership ability, excellent clinical skills, and excellent communication skills.
* Evidence of interest in education and ambition to drive evidence‑based care.
