Job Description

The Role

The Workplace Officer will be part of the Workplace Management Team within the Facilities Management (FM) function. The role is full‑time, office‑based at County Hall (Lys Kernow), Truro, and will deliver a range of functions to support the workplace environment aims and objectives set out through the Better Places for Work Programme. The postholder will champion the adoption of new working practices and ensure they are embedded and sustained.

The postholder will act as a key contact between building occupants, FM Workplace Management Team members, and the Better Places for Work Programme. Maintaining relationships and managing customer satisfaction are essential to ensure excellent service.

Responsibilities include monitoring occupation through data reports from the Resource Booking System, Hybrid Tech, and door access control, as well as manual floor counts. The postholder will analyse this data, provide recommendations to inform future workplace optimisation strategies, and oversee the delivery of workplace initiatives in the building.

This is a public/customer‑facing role, so statutory English language requirements apply.
