Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced and driven Supply Chain Manager to lead and develop their procurement and logistics operations. This is a key strategic role, but very hands on, to ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently to support the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Procurement Management:
o Oversee stock ordering and drop-ship purchasing to maintain optimal inventory levels.
o Develop supplier relationships and negotiate terms to ensure value, quality, and reliability.
* System Oversight:
o Ensure internal systems are kept accurate and up to date.
o Confirm and update purchase orders based on supplier confirmations.
o Actively follow up with suppliers to chase and secure confirmations and delivery dates.
* Logistics & Shipping:
o Plan and coordinate container shipments from international suppliers.
o Manage inbound logistics and work closely with freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery.
* Strategic Supply Chain Planning:
o Monitor supply chain performance and implement improvements.
o Identify and mitigate risks within the supply process.
o Work cross-functionally with operations and sales teams to forecast demand and manage lead times.
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience in purchasing, supply chain management, or procurement leadership roles.
* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail in maintaining procurement systems and records.
* Experience coordinating international shipping and logistics.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in procurement and ERP software systems.
