Supply Chain Manager
Salary: up to £50,000 per year + bonus structure + benefits
Location: Blackpool Area – Office Based
Hours: Monday to Friday, no weekends

They are currently seeking a strategic and experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead the purchasing function and optimise the supply chain across multiple supplier relationships.
Role Overview
This is a critical leadership position focused on driving operational efficiency, cost effectiveness and ESG-aligned practices throughout the supply chain. The role involves managing a well-established purchasing team and working closely with key suppliers and internal departments to ensure the seamless flow of parts and materials into production and warehouse operations.
This opportunity would suit a proactive and commercially minded professional who brings both vision and hands-on experience to the procurement process, with a passion for sustainability and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the day-to-day operations of the purchasing department
* Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations and commercial negotiations
* Source and onboard new suppliers as needed
* Collaborate with existing suppliers to ensure compliance with ethical sourcing and sustainability standards
* Oversee demand forecasting, inventory planning, and purchasing schedules
* Prepare and manage competitive tenders and supplier selection processes
* Liaise with cross-functional teams including Product Design, R&D, Sales and QA
* Implement supplier contingency planning and manage supply chain risk
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management
* Proven track record of driving cost savings and improving purchasing operations
* Experience leading a team within a manufacturing or production-based environment
* CIPS qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent procurement accreditation)
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (desirable)
* Commercially astute with a strong understanding of ESG and sustainability standards
* Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
* Able to think strategically and work proactively in a fast-paced environment
* High level of attention to detail and analytical thinking
* Confident IT and data analysis skills
