First Military Recruitment is currently seeking an Area Sales Manager on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client is looking for a dynamic and results-driven individual to join as an Area Sales Manager. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, this role is key in expanding market presence in the South East/Midlands region, specifically covering ST, TF, WV, DY, B, and WS postcodes. The successful candidate will grow the geographical portfolio through the sale of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to both new and existing customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing customers.
2. Manage the customer database effectively via the CRM system.
3. Achieve and exceed annual sales targets, increasing revenue and profits across all product ranges.
4. Identify new routes to market through proactive prospecting, networking, and strategic planning.
5. Conduct detailed application site surveys to understand customer needs better.
6. Handle the ordering and processing of ancillary items, attachments, batteries, etc.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Proficient in IT, especially MS Office including Excel and Word.
2. Ability to work remotely and as part of a team.
3. High attention to detail in all work aspects.
4. Strong communication and presentation skills.
5. Enjoy selling and collaborating with external and internal stakeholders.
6. Experience in MHE or capital equipment sales is advantageous.
7. Excellent interpersonal skills.
8. Effective time management and ability to work under pressure.
9. Proven success in previous roles.
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + Commission + Bonus
