Our client, a leading provider in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a skilled Grinder to join their team on a permanent basis. This role involves performing high-precision grinding operations on aircraft components using cylindrical and surface grinding machines, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate all types of grinding machines to fine limits
* Work unsupervised or with minimal supervision
* Read and understand technical drawings
* Work with cylindrical and surface grinding machines
* Maintain awareness and understanding of company environmental procedures
* Maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book
* Train personnel within a specified area, subject to qualifications and experience
* Comply with safety and environmental regulations and company procedures
Job Requirements:
* Experience in machining, particularly with internal and external grinding machines
* Preferred background in aerospace, although not essential
* Knowledge of CNC grinding is advantageous
Education and Qualifications:
* Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent
* Fluent in written and spoken English
