3. Oversee the financial strategic planning of the organisation by evaluating its performance and potential risks.
4. Develop budgets that meet the requirements of department heads.
5. Ensure the organisation's financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
6. Lead and manage the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
7. Prepare detailed reports on the company's financial performance.
8. Collaborate with external auditors and manage internal controls.
9. Implement innovative and efficient financial processes to improve productivity.
10. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Finance should have:
11. A degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field.
12. Professional qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus.
13. Proven experience in a similar role within the not-for-profit or education sector.
14. Strong knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP).
15. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
16. Strong ethics, with a customer-oriented approach.
17. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
