We are looking for an Intelligence Assistant to join our Intelligence & Data Team. This is an important role supporting intelligence-led activity across the service, ensuring information is handled accurately, securely and effectively.
About the role
As an Intelligence Assistant, you will support the day-to-day delivery of intelligence services. You will play a key part in ensuring information is processed correctly and contributes to operational and strategic activity.
You will work closely with analysts and colleagues across the service, using your research skills to gather and interpret information, helping to build a clear picture from a range of intelligence sources.
What youll be doing
1. Accurately inputting and maintaining intelligence records within intelligence databases
2. Processing and assessing information in a timely and structured way
3. Conducting research and intelligence checks, reporting results clearly
4. Collating and presenting information from a variety of sources
5. Supporting the production of intelligence reports and analytical products
6. Sharing intelligence in line with agreed processes and legislation
7. Contributing to improvements in systems, processes and data quality

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and able to work with high levels of accuracy.
You will have:
8. Excellent attention to detail and a consistently high standard of accuracy
9. Strong research skills, with the ability to find, assess and piece together information from different sources
10. Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to work with data or database systems
11. Strong written and verbal communication skills
12. The ability to organise, prioritise and manage workload effectively
13. The ability to work proactively while following structured processes and maintaining high standards
14. A collaborative and professional approach when working with colleagues and partners

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position.
