Admin Assistant/Receptionist - Apprenticeship Opportunity

Provide a comprehensive administration and clerical support across North Lincolnshire. Organise clerical workload, manage records and related documents, and handle reception and call duties.
Engage with Trust colleagues, patients, relatives, and carers. Input and update service data, and collaborate with partners to support service delivery.
Main duties of the job
* Provide a confidential, quality administrative service.
* Display and maintain high levels of customer service at all times.
* Answer telephone calls according to agreed protocols.
* Use Microsoft Office packages and other electronic systems such as ESR, Trac, SystmOne.
* Assist in producing high‑quality documentation.
* Maintain, scan and file paper or digital records.
* Liaise with patients, Trust colleagues and multi‑agency partners.
* Communicate effectively, accurately and professionally, applying discretion and empathy.
* Maintain local booking systems (appointments, assessments, group clinics).
* Open and distribute post appropriately.
* Deal with incoming and outgoing paperwork.
* Book meeting rooms as required.
* Participate in regular supervision and annual PDR.
* Be prepared to work temporarily in a different area to support continuity of service.
* Other duties appropriate to grade as needed.
Qualifications
* Demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills to functional skills level 1 or equivalent.
* NVQ Level 2 in a related subject, or willingness to undertake a Level 2 Apprenticeship.
* GCSE Grade C or above (or functional skills level 2) in English and Maths.
Experience
* IT skills in Microsoft Office Packages or equivalent experience.
Knowledge
* Understanding of the importance of the maintenance of confidentiality.
Skills
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Effective verbal and written communication.
* Awareness of discretion and confidentiality requirements.
* Ability to relay messages accurately.
