About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within an international business, working on technically challenging and rewarding projects within the lift industry.You will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions, supporting both project delivery and sales functions, while working closely with internal teams and customers.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct on-site feasibility studies and design surveys of lift shafts and motor roomsDevelop engineering solutions compliant with industry standardsProvide technical support to the sales team, including design validationManage individual project orders in line with KPIs and ISO proceduresProduce accurate and detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks (or similar), including:- Product designs- Fabrication drawings- Customer approval drawings- Assembly drawings and general arrangementsBuild and maintain 3D model libraries for parts and assembliesLiaise with internal and external stakeholders, including attending customer meetingsSupport procurement, cost analysis, and material selectionEnsure compliance with company processes, systems (CRM/ERP), and proceduresPlease note: this role description outlines the primary responsibilities but is not exhaustive.What Were Looking ForDegree (or equivalent) in an engineering or design disciplineExperience in CAD / SolidWorks (2D & 3D) essentialPrevious experience in the lift industry is advantageous (training provided)Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Proficient in Microsoft Office applicationsFlexible and adaptable, with the ability to prioritise workload effectivelyWillingness to travel across the UK when requiredEnglish language speaking skillsFull UK driving licence (preferred)Why Join UsBe part of an international, growing organisationWork on diverse and technically engaging projectsFull training and development support providedClear career progression opportunitiesCollaborative and supportive working environmentBupa health careCompany carAnnual Bonus incentive schemeIf youre looking to build your career in a dynamic engineering environment and make a real impact, wed love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
