About the role

As part of our Resourcing Operations team, you’ll play a key role in making sure the right people are in the right place at the right time. At Oakland, we work closely with teams across the business to match great talent with exciting projects – balancing client needs, business goals and individual aspirations. This is a Mid-level role, reporting to a Senior colleague.


Key responsibilities

* Keeping track of project resourcing through our PM software (CMAP) and internal MI (Power BI) to have a clear picture on who is available, and when.
* Collaborating with our sales teams to provide resourcing solutions for new business activity.
* Identifying and allocating people to valuable non-client work or learning initiatives when they are between projects.
* Identifying trends in resourcing challenges and feeding into the appropriate teams to develop short and long-term solutions.
* Collaborating with the Talent team on workforce planning and recruitment requirements.
* Developing a strong understanding of business, team, and individual career objectives to help inform resourcing allocation decisions.
* Clearly communicating resourcing decisions to Specialism Leads, Line Managers, and individuals.


What we’re looking for

* Project resourcing experience – you’ve allocated people to projects and understand how to balance skills, availability and business needs.
* Strong collaboration skills – you’re great at building relationships and working with different teams.
* Clear and confident communication – whether it’s chatting with an Account Lead or updating a spreadsheet, you know how to get your point across.
* Problem-solving – you enjoy untangling tricky situations and finding solutions.
* Commercial awareness – you understand how resourcing decisions impact the bigger picture.
* Organised and detail-oriented – you keep track of moving parts and make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
* Comfortable with data and systems – you’ve used resourcing or PM tools (or similar) to manage allocations and availability.
