Roles/Responsibilities
This role is a mixture of desk-based work and hands-on participation on the shop floor within a heavy engineering environment. Tasks will include:
9. Ensuring the company are compliant to rigorous standards and requirements and completing all related technical documentation
10. Performing NDT, MPI and LPU test and inspections
11. Tracking quality milestones, risks, cost, impacts and using this data to create quality plans
12. Work to ISO9001 standards and assist in achieving AS9100 certification
13. Maintain and improve the Quality Management System
14. Carry out supplier visits and implement feedback
15. Train and mentor junior employees within the Quality departmtent
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
16. A strong engineering background (mechanical, materials, manufacturing, welding etc) This can be in the form of a qualification or significant experience
17. Strong knowledge and experience of NDT
18. PCN Level 2 or CSWIP Certification
19. Experience in a Quality Engineer role within a heavy engineering/ fabrication/ welding environment
Desirable:
20. PRINCE2 Practitioner
21. Experience in nuclear or military industries
