About the Role
Are you a recent graduate with a strong academic background and a desire to inspire the next generation? We are looking for motivated Subject Specialist Graduates to support teaching and learning across secondary schools in Hastings while developing the skills and experience needed for a successful teaching career.
Working within your specialist subject area, you will support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, assist classroom teachers, and gain valuable experience in a school environment. This role provides an excellent pathway into teacher training and long-term careers within education.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of engaging and high-quality lessons within your specialist subject area.
* Assist teachers with classroom activities and pupil learning.
* Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups of students.
* Help create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
* Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and academic progress.
* Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities where appropriate.
* Build strong professional relationships with staff, pupils, and parents.
Requirements
* A degree in a relevant subject area (graduating in 2026 or recently graduated).
* A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach.
* Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
* A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
