About The Role
Job Purpose
To support our UK & International sales team (predominantly in the On Trade) via commercial analysis, reporting and providing insights to ensure robust decision making and a clear understanding of financial implications.
Key Result Area / Principal Duties & Responsibilities
1. Lead Strategic Financial Planning: Lead the planning processes for annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and strategic plans. You'll be the architect of our financial templates, data, and reports, ensuring we are always prepared for what's next.
2. Drive Accurate Financial Forecasting: Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to challenge and refine their inputs, ensuring our forecasts are always precise and realistic. Your insights will be crucial in guiding our business decisions.
3. In-Depth Variance Analysis: Conduct detailed variance analyses to uncover the impact of changes in volume, price, and cost on the P&L. Your expertise will help us understand and navigate financial fluctuations compared to forecasts, budgets, and previous years.
4. Present Financial Insights: Be the voice of our financial health by presenting financial plans and results at team meetings. Your ability to communicate complex financial information will be key to our success.
5. Support Strategic Initiatives: Play a crucial role in customer negotiations, new product proposals, and the analysis of promotional plans. Your analytical skills will support ongoing customer data requirements and help us seize new opportunities.
6. Commercial Analysis and ROI: Conduct comprehensive commercial analysis of initiatives, providing invaluable support to the Off Trade team regarding pricing, promotions, and return on investment (ROI) analysis. Your insights will ensure our initiatives are profitable and effective.
7. Ensure Financial Accuracy: Guarantee the reliability of the P&L for your area of responsibility, from revenue and sales volume to brand contribution. Your meticulous attention to detail will safeguard our financial integrity.
8. Leverage Advanced Tools: Utilising existing tools to leverage reporting (Adaptive, PowerBI, etc).
9. Ad Hoc Analysis and Support: Be the go-to expert for ad hoc data and analysis requests from the Commercial Finance Lead, Sales, and Marketing teams. Your ability to provide timely and accurate information will be essential in driving our business forward.
Key Relationships - Internal & External
10. Work closely with the Head of Commercial Finance to lead consolidated reporting across the Group.
11. This will require supporting the wider Commercial Finance team as well as associated Departments.
12. Drive a collaborative working culture across finance functions working closely to ensure fulfilment of external departments and encourage openness and approachability.
13. Work together with the other departments to ensure the smooth running of the total operation.
14. Make decisions based on what is best for the business and not just your department.
Health & Safety
15. Ensure that Health and Safety guidelines and fire regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
16. Comply with safe working practices as defined by BrewDog
17. Complete online or face to face training as and when required
18. Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by acts or omissions at work
19. Report any accidents, incidents or near misses as soon as reasonably practicable.

23. Attend training courses and complete online
training modules as required to meet the
requirements of the role

25. Undertake any other duties as requested which are reasonably deemed to be within the scope of the role or necessary for the smooth running of the business

About You
Qualifications & Specific Training
28. Degree qualified with a strong academic track record
29. Part Qualified accountant (e.g. CA, CIMA, ACCA, ACMA)
Experience
30. Experience gained in an organization or environment with a high degree of complexity and pace
31. A background in businesses going through rapid growth is desirable
