Overview
School Business Manager – St Richard's Catholic Primary School, Chichester, West Sussex. Permanent, part‑time role supervising the day‑to‑day operational aspects of the school, including finance, administration, procurement, human resources, employment, estate management, health and safety, and reporting to and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team. We are a one and a half‑form entry primary school in Chichester and will be joining the BOSCO Catholic Education Trust next year, which will provide central support from the trust team.
Job Details
* Salary Range: Grade 8 point 20 to Grade 9 point 28 depending upon experience and qualifications (FTE: £31,586 - £37,938 pro rata = £24,901.06 - £29,908.71 for hours and weeks worked)
* Contract Type: Permanent
* Working Pattern: Part time – 4 days a week, 8.00am to 4.00pm, 39 weeks a year plus 2 weeks holiday working time and INSET days
* Location: Chichester
* Closing date: Thursday 25th September 2025

What You Need to Succeed
* Experience as a School Business Manager
* The SBM certificate or diploma is desirable, but not essential
* Good communication skills, both orally and verbally, and the ability to work effectively with children, staff, parents, governors and the wider community
* A logical, strategic and positive, 'can do' attitude to school life
* Excellent ICT skills and up-to-date knowledge of systems and processes that support good school management such as Bromcom
