McMullen Façades is a leading unitised specialist façade contractor providing full design, fabrication and installation of unitised panels for medium and large scale building projects.
We are seeking Fabricators to join our teambased Carlton-on-Trent. Competitive rate. Hours are 7:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
The successful applicants will:
* Interpret and understand work instructions, including work packages and technical drawings.
* As part of a team or individually, assemble windows, unitised and stick curtain walling, roof-lights and doors to the required specifications as per system supplier’s requirements ensuring good working practices.
* Operate workshop machinery, including overhead cranes, saws, grinders, crimpers, drills and saws, tools and measuring equipment.
* Fabricate/bond panels & flashings and factory glazing of doors and windows.
* Check and inspect work, and complete quality documentation.
* Prepare all completed materials for dispatch to customer in line with standard operating procedures which are project specific.
* Keep area clean, check equipment and encourage others to do the same.
* Operate as part of the pre-production facility team if and when required, completing duties to include taping, kitting and issuing accessories and metal, checking materials in and out and quality checking.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as an aluminium fabricator/assembler with factory based work experience including fabrication of aluminum windows/curtain walling/shop fronts.
* Understanding of H&S requirements within a work shop environment.
* Experience of operating work shop machinery.
* Experience of quality systems and processes.
* Ability to read, understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
* Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines with a minimum of supervision.
* GCSE English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent) at Grade C or above.
* Previous experience in a metal manufacturing environment using CNC machining.
* Experience of “Lean manufacturing” processes.
