Job Purpose:
The People Communications Partner plays a key role in delivering and supporting communications that reflect employees both as a key audience and as featured content within a people-first University. Working within the team to drive purpose, belonging, culture and engagement through communications approaches, the post holder will help to challenge thinking and perceptions through the people lens to ensure hearts and minds are understood, earned and on board.
Delivering and supporting purpose-led and values-led internal communications strategies, the People Communications Partner will deliver integrated and creative solutions, working closely with stakeholders in People & Culture, Marketing and Student Recruitment, Creative Services, PR, Regional and Community Engagement and across the University.

People Communications is a small team of communications professionals based in the People & Culture Directorate within the Chief People Officer portfolio, providing communications expertise for the strategic people objectives, culture and community across the University’s extensive professional services and breadth of academic portfolios.
The team works closely and integrates with the University’s other marketing and communications teams and leads the focus on people storytelling, employer brand, value proposition, employee experience, activation, advocacy and change communications. The team enjoys a central role within Employee Experience, working in partnership with People Development, Organisation Design, Employee Wellbeing and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) teams and strategically supports clients across the University with the communications needs of their people priorities; because people come first.
