As a Student Warden, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a purposeful and safe study environment for both students and staff at our college. This position reports directly to the Senior Warden and is integral in ensuring compliance with the colleges code of conduct and supporting the colleges intervention procedures.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Greet students as they enter the college, ensuring adherence to the colleges expectations as outlined in the college code of conduct.
* Monitor the college’s social and independent study spaces, promoting considerate and purposeful use in accordance with the colleges expectations around good student behaviour and work ethic.
* Support the college’s intervention procedures for disciplinary issues out of class, including recording information on ProMonitor and providing evidence when required.
* Assist in facilitating the attendance of students at meetings with the guidance team.
* Liaise regularly with the Deputy Heads of Studies to prioritise duties as needed.
* Alert the college to any unauthorised visitors and assist as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven ability to adhere to and enforce rules and policies.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
* Ability to handle and resolve conflicts in a calm and efficient manner.
* Experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred.

* Knowledge of health and safety policies and a commitment to promoting the welfare of students.
General Responsibilities:
* Ensure adherence to the college’s policies and procedures with regard to the safeguarding and welfare of students.

* Support and promote the colleges mission and values.
* Engage in continuous improvement of services offered by the college.
* Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Principal.
