We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the development of our industry-leading cloud optimization product. This role will oversee all aspects of engineering execution—managing teams, setting technical direction, driving backlog priorities, ensuring operational excellence, and embedding AI into both our engineering processes and product functiona

Key Responsibi

Lead and scale Virtasant’s cloud optimization engineering team across a globally distributed wor
* kforce.
Define and drive the technical vision and roadmap for our cloud optimization product, providing hands-on guidance and
* support.
Manage engineering work backlogs, prioritization, and delivery across multiple produ
* ct areas.
Oversee ongoing product operations, ensuring high reliability, performance, an
* d support.
Embed AI throughout engineering workflows to accelerate development, testing, and
* deployment.
Drive the integration of AI-driven capabilities into our core cloud optimizati
* on solution.
Partner with product management and other stakeholders to deliver customer-focuse
* d innovation.
Establish best practices for software engineering, DevOps, and cloud-nativ
* e development.
Mentor and develop engineering leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuo
us improvement
* .
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 5+ years in engine
* ering leadership.
Proven experience leading distributed, remote-first
* engineering teams.
Strong background in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern software dev
* elopment practices.
Demonstrated success in delivering complex, large-scale pro
* ducts in production.
Deep experience with AI-driven engineering practices (e.g., AI code generation, automated QA, int
* elligent monitoring).
Experience embedding AI features into SaaS produc
* ts strongly preferred.
Strong technical judgment, with the ability to balance innovati
* on and execution speed.
