Permanent Finance Officer - Purchase Ledger required for a charity based in Salisbury. They are looking for someone to keep the books balanced, suppliers paid, and systems running smoothly. You will own the purchase ledger, process staff expenses, reconcile credit card statements, and handle quarterly VAT returns - all while keeping accuracy and deadlines front and centre. You'll work closely with the Finance Director and team to make sure every penny adds up and every process runs like clockwork.
What you'll do:
* Keep the purchase ledger accurate and up to date
* Process supplier invoices, expenses, and payments
* Reconcile accounts, credit cards, and petty cash
* Manage VAT returns and assist with audits
* Support and improve financial systems and procedures
* Bring your sharp eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and passion for finance
What we're looking for:
Education & Experience
* AAT qualified or currently working towards your AAT
* Proven experience in a busy finance environment
* Confident using computerised accounting systems - experience with Access Dimensions a bonus
* Strong IT skills across Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel ability
