Overview
Our client, an established multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in the highways sector, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their expanding office in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide variety of major infrastructure and development projects across the UK, within a collaborative team that values technical excellence, creativity, and professional growth.
Responsibilities
* Lead the technical design and delivery of infrastructure and development projects.
* Coordinate with multiple disciplines and liaise directly with clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and design submissions for approval.
* Supervise and mentor junior engineers, supporting their technical and professional development.
* Attend client and design meetings, providing clear, expert technical input.
* Promote best practice in health, safety, environmental, and quality management.
Job Requirements
* Proven experience in infrastructure design, including drainage, highways, and site development.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and InfoDrainage (or similar design software).
* Ability to manage and deliver multi-disciplinary projects effectively.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills, with confidence in client-facing roles.
* Sound understanding of CDM regulations and current design standards.
* A collaborative mindset and commitment to supporting team development.
Qualifications
* Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Chartered or working towards Incorporated/Chartered Engineer status (ICE, CIWEM, or similar).
* Demonstrated experience working on medium to large-scale civil engineering projects.
