This permanent role is crucial for supporting the Fabrication Manager in overseeing marine and general fabrication operations across both commercial and cruise sectors.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nSupervise and monitor the work of employees and subcontractors, ensuring all tasks meet required quality and safety standards.\nAssist in planning, quoting, and delivering fabrication and marine engineering projects-managing time, cost, materials, and labour efficiently.\nOversee and enforce the use of PPE and safe systems of work, including RAMS, Take 5 documentation, and permit-to-work processes.\nMaintain high standards of housekeeping in workshops, stores, vehicles, and on-site locations.\nSupport management with performance monitoring, training, employee development, and addressing conduct or grievance matters.\nEnsure machinery and equipment are maintained as per manufacturer guidelines, reporting faults or losses.\nManage the issue and accountability of tools and equipment to minimise company losses.\nCoordinate procurement of materials as required.\nRespond to urgent work as needed, including on-call and emergency response duties.\nComplete written reports and update management on job progress and workforce concerns.\nPromote a positive workplace culture by addressing issues early and supporting staff morale.\nAdhere to and promote compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nExperience in the marine industry, ideally previous cruise experience\nPrepared to travel as required for the overall gain of the business.\nFull UK Driving License.\nSupervisory/management experience within a Welding & Fabrication environment.\nAbility to interpret technical drawings and diagrams and associated technical data.\nStrong organisational and multitasking skills.\nAbility to work and manage a team, motivating staff effectively.\nStrong health and safety knowledge to ensure all employees under your control comply with all current and relevant safety and environmental legislation.\n\nSalary and Benefits:\n\n£52,000 standard salary (Overtime will be paid)\nCompany pension after 3 months\nOpportunity to work on a variety of interesting and challenging projects within the marine sector.\nProfessional development and training opportunities.\nSupportive and collaborative work environment.\nComprehensive employee benefits package.\nIf you are an experienced Fabrication Supervisor looking for a new opportunity to further develop your career in the marine industry, we would love to hear from you.
