Apply to join Mott MacDonald as a Senior Project Manager and lead complex workstreams on major infrastructure projects in the South East of England. This role will shape the direction of our growing Project Management team and deliver a nationally significant portfolio of projects within our Environment and Water Portfolio (ENW).
Responsibilities
* Deliver commission obligations and internal project performance
* Build and manage strong relationships with senior client representatives
* Establish effective communication across project delivery, client and stakeholder teams
* Take the lead on problem‑solving and decision‑making
* Lead the team, plan resources and manage the workforce
* Control the internal and external commercial aspects of projects across a range of contractual arrangements
Required Qualifications
* Engineering and/or Project Management degree or relevant successful experience in project management
* Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM)
* APM PMQ level qualified or equivalent (e.g., Managing Successful Programmes, PRINCE2 Practitioner)
* Substantial project management expertise
* Substantial experience of managing and leading project teams to successful outcomes
* Experience of managing projects within the Water and Environment Sector
* Strong client and stakeholder relationship‑building skills
* Effective communication with clients, project team, business manager and other business units
* High degree of commercial acumen and knowledge of planning and project controls

The Advisory and Programme Delivery (APD) unit delivers management services across the Built Environment, Defence, Energy, Water, Transportation, Education, Health and Care. Our Environment and Water portfolio provides project, programme and commercial management services to regulated water and wastewater clients and the Environment Agency, covering the full project lifecycle and capital projects ranging from several hundred thousand pounds to over £0.5 billion.
