Are you a Supply Planner that enjoys working at pace? Are you detailed, numerical, tenacious and ambitious and keen to deliver results?

Our S&OP team offer great career progression and as such we are always keen to hear from experienced S&OP Planners at all levels. If successful you will manage the supply planning and scheduling of biscuit manufacturing site(s) to maximise customer service, optimise factory efficiencies and maintain an appropriate level of working capital.

You will be located at our brand-new Global Head Office in Chiswick Park, and you will need to operate proactively to manage within the volatile FMCG environment.

What will this role achieve?

1. Working closely with Demand Planning, Material Requirements Planning, customer services and the factory operational team, the role requires regular liaison with other areas of the business to make tactical decisions relating to key important metrics such as customer service, inventory & cost.

What will be your key deliverables?

4. Manage the factory detailed capacity plan & master production schedule to deliver inbound service level
5. Generate a wk detailed capacity plan for the site
6. Convert the next weeks into the factory production schedule, balancing the optimal line efficiency with customer service demands
7. Represent the team in morning factory reviews to ensure minimal stoppages / waste on line
8. Review daily stock levels with the Customer Service team / factory to mitigate any potential customer shorts
9. Attend the medium-term planning meeting each month to manage site expectations of the forward capacity plan & ensure all lines of products have the required capacity to service the market
10. Deliver company inventory targets for your site
11. Use inventory analytics data to minimise excessive production
12. Remove dead stock through setting optimal safety stocks
13. Prevent waste in the form of clearance & finished product scrap
14. Identify non-value add SKUs to be rationalised
15. Play an active role in minimising raw material waste through involvement in product transition planning

System

16. Control & maintain master data within the planning system to ensure accuracy of plans and full automation where possible
17. Own sections of the planning document and regularly review / update the operating principles between the site & central planning team

Organisation

18. Demonstrate positive behaviours in line with the GOA framework
19. Multi-skilling, learn to cover at least one other supply planning role
20. Visit sites to collaborate & enhance relationships as & when required
21. Flexibility, go above and beyond where required to ensure delivery of business results

Project work

22. In addition to the core role, Supply Planners are expected to take on additional project work to build the business. The projects will be dependent upon business requirements & the individual.

What do you need for this role?

Essential
23. High degree of understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain Planning processes
24. Proven Supply Planning Experience within FMCG
25. Strong IT literate with strong spreadsheet knowledge Excel
26. Highly numerate and analytical
27. Ability to work independently and manage own workload, work under own initiative
28. Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams
29. Ability to prioritise workload & cope with pressure & a fast paced environment
30. Ability to negotiate and influence at a Senior level
Desirable
31. Proven experience of working for FMCG / retail organisation, ideally with experience of manufacturing environment
32. Understanding of the Sales & Operational Planning Processes
33. Understanding of factory production processes and capabilities
34. High degree of understanding of the business drivers and factors that impact on related KPIs
35. Understanding and appreciation of master data
