Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver imaginative and stimulating lessons that meet the needs of KS1 learners. Create a warm, inclusive classroom where every child feels supported, respected, and motivated. Promote early skills in reading, writing, maths, and social development using age-appropriate approaches. Collaborate effectively with support staff and leadership to ensure pupils’ individual needs are addressed. Monitor student achievement, adapting teaching strategies and offering constructive feedback. Communicate regularly with families and carers to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing. Inspire curiosity and a lifelong enthusiasm for learning through creative and hands-on teaching. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Experience working within the classroom or specialisation in KS1 curriculum. A creative and engaging approach to teaching. Strong behaviour management skills and classroom presence. Commitment to student development, well-being, and safeguarding. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive school team. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
