Head of Pricing Development, Animal Health Pricing team
This strategic leadership role oversees a team of six direct reports and has significant influence across the organisation.
Responsibilities include managing the development and deployment of tariff pricing engines, creating impact analysis tools to support underwriting performance metrics detailed in the Corporate Plan, and continuously seeking innovation across pricing, data analytics, software tooling, technical methodologies and price optimisation.
Responsibilities
* Lead prioritisation of price model development in Radar Live and coordinate oversight of test procedures and results.
* Support coordination and implementation of accurate impact analyses, simulations and tariff optimisations to achieve business targets.
* Lead the creation, update and further improvement of impact analysis tools and conversion models.
* Manage the performance and development of pricing team members.
* Contribute to strategic and tactical business developments and projects with thought leadership and analysis.
* Champion innovation by proposing new solutions and improving pricing engines and impact analysis tools.
* Lead continuous improvement of Pricing MI and Analysis requirements and processes.
Essential Skills
* Significant experience combining insurance pricing and data science in P&C insurance.
* Supervisory / management / team leadership experience.
* Proven ability to deliver projects with close collaboration with IT, underwriting, portfolio management and marketing teams.
* Strong statistical modelling, feature engineering, data visualisation and interpretation skills when working with large volumes of complex data.
* A high level of numerical, analytical and logical reasoning skills.
* Expertise in Python, SAS, SQL and WTW tools (Radar and Emblem).
* Experience of using Radar Live.
Desirable Skills
* Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage.
