Base Pay Range
This range is provided by Amberstone Security. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Hourly Rate: £12.54 (per hour, plus potential overtime). Information on base pay and hourly rate is provided in the employment details below.

Shift Pattern
Mon: 12:15-20:00, Tue:12:00-20:00, Thu:12:00-20:00, Fri:12:00-20:00, Sat:10:00-18:00, Sun:10:00-16:00
Responsibilities
* Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity.
* Assess and identify vulnerabilities, and work proactively to minimise risk.
* Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable.
* Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress.
* Carry out colleague and contractor searches in line with company policy.
* Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning.
* Prepare detailed and legible incident reports to assist the client and local authorities.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be an effective Security Officer you must be a confident communicator and able to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity. You must be welcoming, patient with customers and able to handle conflict professionally.
Required skills and qualifications:
* Valid SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence.
* Previous experience in a retail security role is an advantage but not essential.
* Full training will be provided.
* Ability to provide a full 5-year checkable work or back‑to‑school history.
* Right to work documents and recent proof of address if selected for interview.
