Job Description:
Our client is a highly sucessful food manufacturer based in Nottingham. They are recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer. This is a fast-paced role, ideal for an ambitious engineer looking for a role with progression.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for designing preventative maintenance routines to reduce downtime.
The role
* Carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical issues across a range of equipment
* Support installation of new machinery
* Maintain accurate logs of maintenance, repairs, and improvements
* Work across systems like conveyors, chillers, mixers, and packaging equipment
* Mentor junior team members
You
* Multiskilled engineering experience, ideally from a food, FMCG, or manufacturing environment
* Skilled in fault-finding, repair, and maintaining production machinery
* Understanding of PLC-controlled systems, sensors, VFDs, and wiring
* Some hands-on experience with welding, fabrication, or modification of machinery
* Calm under pressure with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
