A vibrant and creative mainstream secondary school in Sherborne is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis, starting in Jan
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students through music, nurture creativity, and contribute to a thriving performing arts department. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for music and performance within the school community.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering creative, inspiring Music lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Encouraging students to develop performance, composition, and listening skills
* Preparing students for assessments and practical performances
* Contributing to the wider life of the school through concerts, ensembles, and extracurricular activities
* Working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Music and Performing Arts provision
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Have experience teaching Music across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)
* Be passionate about inspiring young people through music and performance
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
