Monday to Thursday 7.00 - 11.00 and 15.00 to 16.30 - 22 hours
Friday 07.00 to 11.00 - 4 hours
We are looking for a skilful, well organised and enthusiastic person to join our school team to oversea the daily operations and maintenance of our school buildings and grounds. Reliability is essential, and candidates must have the ability to carry out manual handling tasks. This role involves maintaining the site's safety and compliance standards. The School Site Manager will play a vital role in creating safe, efficient and welcoming atmosphere for pupils staff and visitors.
Responsibilities:
1. Security & Access Control: Acting as the main keyholder, handling opening/closing procedures, operating alarm systems, and managing site access. They also serve as the primary contact for out-of-hours emergencies.
2. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensuring the school meets all statutory regulations. This includes managing fire safety drills, conducting regular risk assessments, and performing routine checks on equipment like playgrounds and emergency lighting.
3. Maintenance & Repairs: Performing routine and basic maintenance (e.g., painting, carpentry, plumbing) and scheduling larger preventative maintenance projects.
4. Contractor Management: Sourcing, hiring, and supervising external contractors for specialized work servicing or major building repairs.
5. Resource & Energy Management: Monitoring the school's hot water, heating, and lighting systems to maximize energy efficiency
