With years of expertise in design and execution, Leading Edge integrates wind turbines, solar panels and battery banks for tailored energy solutions, exporting to more than 60 countries while advancing its mission to replace fossil‑fuel generators with clean, renewable energy.


Role Summary

This is a full‑time, on‑site position located in Pontrilas, Herefordshire. You will join a 12‑strong team that values kindness, trust, ambition and respect. As Technical Sales and Commercial Manager, your responsibilities will include managing client relationships and meeting customer expectations from initial enquiry through quotation and order receipt. You will be the first point of contact for customer enquiries and will follow the process to generate customer quotes for off‑grid power systems, utilising in‑house technology and meteorological data to estimate system sizing. You will actively pursue sales opportunities, support business development initiatives, and contribute to exceptional customer service by addressing technical inquiries and requirements.


Tasks

* Promote and sell Leading Edge products to new and existing customers.
* Build a detailed customer database and utilise the CRM system to monitor the sales pipeline.
* Develop marketing and sales strategies to secure long‑term revenue streams.
* Organise presence at trade shows and other events.
* Qualify customer requirements for off‑grid power systems, respond, record and follow up with the objective of securing purchase orders.
* Use existing in‑house system‑sizing techniques for end‑user solutions.
* Utilise available meteorological data (wind & solar) to assist in system‑sizing solutions.
* Create quotations and invoices using SAGE 50 accounting system.
* Work closely with the engineering team to ensure accurate system design and project requirements.
* Support project delivery by coordinating with internal teams, suppliers and contractors when needed.

* Exhibit an excellent telephone manner and use the telephone as a proactive sales tool.
* Use initiative to seek out opportunities to improve processes and services.
* Demonstrate credibility and reliability by making realistic commitments and delivering upon them.
* Arrange and lead customer meetings, including Teams calls and technical discussions.
* Collaborate with the marketing team to support brochures, case studies and product information.
* Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a business‑to‑business environment.
* Possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
* Employ effective problem‑solving and negotiation skills.
* Be proactive, confident, friendly, enthusiastic and personable.
* Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team.
* Have essential experience with Microsoft Office & Outlook – Sage 50 Accounts and Design software an advantage.
