You’ll lead a diverse, distributed tech operation – in-house, third-party, near-shore – covering Shopify, integrations, and custom platforms. ?️ What You'll Own:
* Define and deliver the technical vision and engineering roadmap aligned with commercial goals
* Oversee the SDLC across multiple tech stacks, continuously improving Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD maturity
* Guide solution architecture across complex e-commerce and integration projects
* Drive engineering team structure, quality standards, and technical documentation excellence
* Partner cross-functionally with delivery leads, product, and client stakeholders to ensure tech outcomes match commercial and user expectations
* Lead third-party engineering partnerships, including nearshore vendor management
* Incorporate AI and automation into workflows to drive operational efficiencies (targeting 30% gains)
* Represent technology in client governance, pitches, strategic boards, and leadership meetings
? What You’ll Bring:
* Proven experience in senior engineering leadership roles – ideally within high-growth e-commerce or omnichannel environments
* Deep experience building scalable, secure cloud-based architectures
* Commercial and strategic acumen – able to align technical decisions with business outcomes
* Demonstrated success managing budgets, supplier relationships, and distributed teams
* Hands-on knowledge of modern tech stacks, compliance frameworks (GDPR, IP, etc.), and security best practices
* Leadership mindset – you know how to build high-performance teams and inspire innovation across cultures and geographies
* Practical exposure to Shopify, integrations, middleware, and platform engineering is a bonus
