What You’ll Be Doing
We are seeking a dedicated professional to carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance. The successful candidate will ensure that standards are maintained and will liaise with other Mitie engineers and subcontractors. A proactive client liaison approach is essential, ensuring concerns are addressed or relayed to management as necessary. The role requires compliance with and enforcement of existing business risk management procedures for maintenance and project works, and accurate completion of all work‑related documentation.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer with substantial practical experience across all building services disciplines, including heating, hot water, ventilation, refrigeration and environmental systems. The ideal candidate will be a team worker with a ‘can’do’ attitude, flexible within the contracted hours, intuitive, proactive and detail‑oriented. Key duties include ensuring all documentation is completed correctly for all tasks, reporting reactive tasks to the CAFM system, and participating in the standby rota for emergency calls outside normal working hours.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Certified Certificate: Apprenticeship or equivalent, IOSH or equivalent, C&G/BTEC Mechanical Building Services Engineering Parts 1‑3, NVQ Level 3.
* C&G 2079 F Gas or equivalent, HVAC or gas equivalent certification.
* Good IT skills with the ability to produce reports from multiple sources/systems.
Specific Requirements
* All offers subject to security clearance and enhanced background checks.
* Must be a British Citizen, EU citizen with settled status, or have an ILR from a Commonwealth country.
* Bankruptcy history, CCJs, social media activity and criminal convictions will be checked.
* Must have lived in the UK for the past three years with no significant footprint outside of the UK other than normal holidays.
