Office Manager/Bookkeeper


Location: Kingston


Salary: £40 to £45k plus benefits such as holiday allowance, pension contribution, company sick pay, profit shares, life assurance, income protection, CPD subscription and EAP.


Start date: 12th January ideally

If so, we want you to be the backbone this employee-owned firm! Our client is searching for a dedicated Office Manager/Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team for the long term.



What You'll Do:


As the Office Manager, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine. Your key responsibilities will include:



1. Bookkeeping : Record all financial transactions and prepare weekly bank reconciliations and reports for the Directors.

2. Financial Management : Control, monitor, and review the company's cash flow to keep us thriving.

3. Payroll Processing : Manage monthly payroll, ensuring all salary changes and expenses are up to date.

4. Financial Reporting : Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders.

5. Invoicing & Credit Control : Ensure accurate and timely invoicing while following up on outstanding invoices.

6. Supplier Management : Ensure all suppliers are paid promptly and manage supplier invoices.

7. Project Oversight : Provide project leaders with up-to-date fee reconciliation reports as needed.

8. Health & Safety Compliance : Ensure adherence to good practise guidelines and statutory regulations.

9. Insurance & Accreditations : Maintain and update all necessary policies and registrations annually.

10. Quality Assurance : Act as the administrative QA representative to uphold our quality commitments.

11. Office Administration : Oversee the general running of the office and supervise the administrative team.




What We're Looking For:



12. Proven experience in bookkeeping and office management, preferably in the construction field.

13. Strong understanding of financial reporting, cash flow management, and payroll processing.

14. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

15. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.

16. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support our Directors and team members effectively.

17. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
