Duties
* Drafting and issuing offers and other missives for standard transactions including purchase, sale, or lease of property on behalf of the Council. It may also include servitudes in favour of statutory undertakers.
* Researching titles
* Drafting relevant legal documentation
* Settling transactions
* Dealing with Land and Building Transaction Tax
* Registration formalities of transactions
* Housekeeping deed title room and index
Team Administration
* Understanding and applying the working practices and systems within the Legal Team.
* Monitoring/Managing generic email box
* Reviewing new instructions and communicating with client services, partners and stakeholders
* Managing the team's work allocation list
* Managing the creation of case files in our file management system
* Assisting team colleagues with administrative tasks
* The post is within one of three legal teams which also covers freedom of information, contracts, public procurement and data protection. There will be opportunities and support to apply any existing knowledge or experience, or to develop new skills.
The Person
This post will suit a candidate with experience in legal administrative and business management matters. Experience in conveyancing and general property matters is desirable, but training can be provided. You are either required to have an HNC or equivalent educational qualification in conveyancing or Administration/Business Management, or be able to demonstrate experience in these areas to an equivalent level.

Work Arrangement
As a progressive employer, we offer the opportunity to work in this role as a blended working arrangement with home-working opportunities and occasional office-working as required. While the significant part of the role can and will be carried out remotely, candidates should be able to travel to and attend office locations in Fife as required.
