Senior Sous Chef | Full Time

The role |

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspirational leader, creating a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development of your team to excel, while driving restaurant performance and delivering excellent results.

* Focus on creating a positive environment where your team feels cared for and listened to, celebrating successes, and nurturing talent within your team, role modeling a coaching culture.
* Are dedicated to ensuring an excellent guest experience, with every dish prepared to high standards, either through your own efforts or by empowering your team.
* Ensure your kitchen’s food, health, and safety standards are maintained, understand financial performance including gross profit, stock control, and labor costs, and proactively spot opportunities.
* Build a coaching culture within your team, working with your head chef on recruitment and ongoing development, fostering personal and professional growth.
* Are a forward-thinking problem solver, able to make quick decisions on your feet.

What we look for |

* Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, driving performance through positive behavior in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills, capable of having considerate and caring conversations, ensuring your team feels supported.
* Experience maintaining high food, health, safety standards, and understanding kitchen financials such as GP and stock control.
* Ability to manage labor costs and adapt to changing demands.
* Leadership qualities that inspire and engage your team to grow in their roles and careers.
* Passion for creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and belongs.
* A proactive problem solver, capable of quick thinking and decision-making.
