Job Role: Drainage Technician
We're looking for a skilled and reliable Drainage Technician to join our growing team. You'll work on a variety of domestic and commercial drainage jobs, delivering high-quality service and repairs.
What You'll Do
* Clear blockages using high-pressure water jetting, mechanical tools, and rods
* Inspect and record drains for defects using CCTV camera survey equipment
* Assist the remedials team with general drainage repairs and maintenance, including root cutting, descaling, minor excavations, no-dig patch lining, and full CIPP lining
* Use a tablet or smartphone to manage jobs and update notes/photos
* Deliver excellent customer service on every job
* Follow all Health & Safety guidelines
* Work independently and as part of a team
What You'll Need
* 2+ years' drainage experience
* Strong skills in drain unblocking (rodding and jetting)
* Full UK driving licence (max 6 points)
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Technically minded with strong problem-solving ability
* Computer literate and comfortable using tablets/smartphones for job management
* Reliable, self-motivated, and a person of high integrity
* Able to pass a Basic Disclosure Scotland check
Bonus Skills (Beneficial but not essential)
* CCTV drain surveys
* Patch lining and/or CIPP lining
* Groundworks or minor excavations (CAT & Genny, concrete, digging)
* Basic plumbing (e.g. toilet repairs)
* Certifications: WJA, EUSR, Confined Space, CSCS
