Closing Date: 19th September Location: Nottingham Contract: 12 Month Secondment Recruitment Partner: Frankie McCallister-Lyas Overview: The sales plan merchandising team focuses on delivering our offer led sites within store in a fast-paced, reactive environment. We understand the needs of the customer and the ever-changing retail market, working innovatively and efficiently to optimise the delivery of sales plan against key critical path deadlines. As a sales plan merchandising specialist, you will lead 4 x Level 7’s to which you will not only be responsible for the team hitting key deadlines and delivering the plan right first time, but the performance and motivation of the team and individuals in delivering and understanding the wider function and business goals and vision. Key Responsibilities: • Lead a team of 4 x L7’s • Performance management • Training and development identifying key skill gaps helping team members grow • Support your team through challenges and escalations • Stakeholder management • Challenge current processes, best practices and timings to improve the delivery of Salesplan activity • Continuous improvement mindset • Build relationships and work collaboratively with category, supply and production teams to create a cross functional team that delivers sales plan to the highest standard in line with critical path dates • Be an advocate for merchandising principles, ensuring these are adhered to and understood cross functionally • Engage with senior stakeholders on current status of delivery • Manage time and tasks effectively to deliver multiple projects and workstreams at once What you’ll need to have: • Previous experience in managing projects, with the drive and motivation to explore people leadership • Flexibility – able to adapt ways of working and resource based on business needs or external challenges • Excellent time management • Communication • Attention to detail • Basic Excel knowledge • Problem solving It would be great if you also have: • Can showcase examples of people leadership within a project or team • Knowledge of merchandising and/or instore retail environment • Knowledge of Blue Yonder Why Boots: At Boots, we foster a working environment where consideration and inclusivity help everyone to be themselves and reach their full potential.
