Overview
Cloud Engineering Manager role at Aviva. Locations: London (UK) / Norwich / Bristol.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and support to your teams. Define engineering principles and procedures, and work with Architecture and Product Owners to create roadmaps and deliver capabilities to our platform consumers.
* Act as a leader at the heart of the technical development of our Platform, guiding platform engineering strategy, leading deliveries, and mentoring engineers within the organization.
* The platform operates 24 x 7, so callout support on a rota basis may be required; paid standby and call out will apply.
Skills and experience
* Proficient in either AWS or Azure technologies and leading deliveries which impact running a platform at scale
* Demonstrated engineering leadership, including managing large, cross-functional teams to deliver complex solutions
* First-class communication, encouraging collaboration across a team that spans multiple locations and disciplines
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to articulate complex technical problems to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Engineering discipline with experience translating business problems into technical solutions
What you’ll get
* National salary circa £75,000, London salary circa £95,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
