Coach, mentor and develop Social Care Assessors, guiding best practice in assessment, support planning and review processes. Please note this role does not attract sponsorship. About You You are an experienced, motivated and forward-thinking professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding social care. You will bring: Demonstrable post-qualifying experience in the social or health care field Proven background in coaching, mentoring and developing others Experience working with complex or challenging cases, with crisis intervention skills and an understanding of risk and vulnerability A strong customer-focused approach, with knowledge of diverse adult client groups Experience of advocacy, user involvement and supporting people to shape their own care and support plans Skills & Competencies Dynamic, self-motivated and innovative, with the ability to manage your own workload effectively Ability to undertake AMHP and/or BIA assessments Skilled in quality assurance and service evaluation Strong collaborator who promotes multi-disciplinary working to maximise resources and reduce duplication Capability to advise, guide, supervise and coach Social Care Assessors, including evaluating priorities and offering sound and creative casework solutions Able to make professional judgements, accept accountability and negotiate resources in a multi-disciplinary setting Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to remain effective during periods of high pressure and competing priorities Commitment to ongoing reflection and professional development Qualifications BSc, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent recognised by Social Work England Post-qualifying training in a relevant area Current registration with Social Work England (or equivalent professional body) About Us Our ambitious Luton 2040 Vision – that no-one in Luton will have to live in poverty – is at the heart of everything we do.
