HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

You’ll shape smarter credit decisions through advanced analytics and automated strategies, driving better outcomes for both Personal and Business customers. As part of a team accountable for safe, sustainable portfolio growth, you’ll play a key role in improving how we make lending decisions and enhancing the efficiency of our systems.

What you’ll be doing:
1. Using knowledge and analytics to improve credit decisions and maximise the efficiency of the credit decisions.
2. AI – led credit innovation – Build understanding of AI capabilities and identify innovation opportunities across consumer and business lending.
3. Use data and systems to produce management information to inform key decisions.
4. Perform high quality testing to ensure our changes are implemented safely.

What we’re looking for:
The list here gives you information about the qualifications, skills and experience we’re looking for. We don’t expect you to be advanced in them all but be prepared to learn on the job and have the motivation to develop.
5. Strong numerate skills and qualifications - A-Level or above.
6. Analytical expertise – 12 months or more practical experience of using analytical software and coding; SAS or SQL, AI tools, Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Powerpoint.
7. Knowledge of Risk and Change Management – an understanding of what credit risk and residual value risk is, and how we manage it.
8. Effective Communicator – ability to explain complicated issues clearly to different audiences; technical, non-technical, junior colleagues and senior management; both verbally and non-verbally.
9. Enthusiasm for problem solving – when the answer isn’t in the data, it takes a curious, creative attitude and logical thinking to explore the problem and find a solution.
And any of these would be great:
10. PowerBI.
11. Experience in coaching junior members of a team.
12. Experience deputising for Management and supporting them to shape initiatives.
13. Experience in both personal and business lending.
