Job Description
Assist in delivering an efficient service for the maintenance and upkeep of parks, open spaces, and landscaped areas within East Ayrshire. This role supports the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council’s key objectives, specifically related to Community Planning, Single Outcome Agreement, Best Value, and the Council’s Transformation Strategy.

The Individual
This is a temporary, full-time position based at Western Road Depot, Kilmarnock. The hours are 37 per week, with a work pattern of Monday to Thursday, 7:15 am - 3:15 pm, and Friday, 7:15 am - 2:45 pm. The annual salary ranges from £25,724 to £26,801.
The contract is temporary until 15th June 2026.
The workstyle is fixed, with 80-100% of your time spent at a single office base or work location. Employees are expected to work at their administrative base or another agreed location between 4 and 5 days per week. Office-based employees (excluding those in schools) are encouraged to work towards the higher end of their workstyle in terms of time spent in the office or at other locations.
